3. For each song, write something inspired by the song related to the theme you chose earlier.
You only have the song length.

No pre-planning and no writing after the song is over.
No skipping songs either.

1. “Shadow Boxer” by Fiona Apple

Her breathe caught in her throat whenever he walked through the doors and she didn’t know where to look and ended up just staring. That just happened to be when he looked at her and made her knees weak; that gaze was so dangerous, how could he be a hero?

Biting her lower lip she looked down at her gloved hands and tried to come up with something to say. Brown curls falling almost in a curtain around her face, she finally felt as if her cheeks were about to cool down. If only she could be ready for what he did but she didn’t know when he’d make his move.

Hearing footsteps, she tried to stand up to get away but it felt as if she had eaten the wrong mushroom and her muscles had disappeared. Sitting pristinely in her seat, she continued to look down until his voice beckoned her to look up to him.

“Daisy…”

She couldn’t but help smile and fall deep in to his eyes.

“Luigi…”

2. “Tessie” by Dropkick Murphys

Beer bottles clinked loudly against one another as people cheered at the television hanging in the corner of the pub. Everyone was in good spirits because the Red Sox were ahead and it was the bottom of the 8th, no way could those damn Yankees make up their runs now! Another home run made a free round be called for in the pub and people cried louder.

The noise spilled out in to the streets and the boy sitting on the curb shook his head. His buds were in the pub and here he was alone, basking in the October brisk air. Looking down at the letter, he sighed softly, “Guess I’ll be missing the rest of the season.”  The official U.S. seal at the top of the paper caught the light of a street lamp and shone brightly.

3. “Goodbye Stranger” by Super Tramp

He had saved the world again from the alien invasion that was looming over the Earth. He had landed in America, so behind England in Alien technology, and was not able to contact UNIT or Torchwood in the short amount of time everything happened.

But here under the Texas sun, he felt as if the humidity and heat was getting to him – which it shouldn’t. He blinked several times, swearing he couldn’t be seeing what he was seeing. The Doctor swore he could see Rose staring right at him from across the street.

Shaking his head, he took a look again and realized it was just a trick of the sun. This girl had blonde hair but that was where the likeness ended. She was taller than Rose and her lips were much smaller than the full lips of that cheeky English girl. However, there was a smirk gracing them that reminded him so much of one of his favorite companions. There was also an aura that seemed to hang around this girl that beckoned him to this girl. She was an Earth dweller for certain but what was it about her… The Doctor shook his head and stepped back in to his box and disappeared.

The girl nearly cried as she turned away, “Goodbye stranger…”

4. “Adrian” by Jewel

Relena covered her mouth as she entered the hospital room. There he layed in the bed, staring up at the ceiling as if he couldn’t recognize what was going on around him. She shook her head, causing her long hair to swirl around her before rushing to the bedside to take his hand.

“Hero! Please, please answer me. It’s Relena…it’s me…I’m so sorry…please answer me. Please talk to me…” Tears streamed down her cheeks as she cried silently, sinking down on the bed next to him.

The doctor sighed softly, “It was no use. He was badly injured from the crash but if you want we can turn the machines of-“

“NO! He won’t be denied the life he deserved…” She whispered softly as she leaned down to kiss his cheek. “It’s ironic…so many gundam detonations and it’s a motorcycle accident…”

She smiled sadly as she layed down next to him in the bed. Hero’s eyes never leaving the ceiling as she just rested her body next to him, thanking God he was still alive.

5. “Blackbird” by Evan Rachel Wood (Across the Universe soundtrack)

Standing on top of the cliff, the ocean crashing beneath her Kahlan held up her arms and smiled brightly. She hadn’t been this close to the ocean in quite some time but just listening to the sounds of it made her soul dance with joy and as well as it should, things were going to be so much better from now.

A sound behind her made her spin around but her warrior face was quickly replaced with that beautiful smile as she saw it was Richard. Standing still she looked at him across the space her heart wanted to burst with the pure love she saw in his eyes that reflected her own…finally, they could be together without any issues or consequences. They could start a family.

Sirirus looked down at Harry in his class and something twinged in his heart. He couldn’t describe the feeling because he hadn’t felt it in so long but…this was the boy – her boy…

7. “Passive” by A Perfect Circle

Audrina looked at her cell phone and wrinkled her nose, her hand tightening around the device. She had to keep herself from throwing it across the room. She also had to keep herself from calling him back and tell him not to do what he was going to do. Shaking her head, dirty blonde curls framing her tanned skin – ice blue eyes sparkling with unshed tears.

“You’re better of this way!”

Audrina Denali had it with this and let the cell phone drop to the floor as she sat on her bed and smiled sadly. Letting all her emotions drip from her, she felt as if her soul was crying itself clean from all its burdens that boy had heaped upon her.

“You’ll thank me one day…”

8. Polonaise in A Minor

Elizabeth danced around the floor as she looked at her younger sisters and couldn’t help but laugh. Darcy looked down at his beautiful wife and cocked an eyebrow. The young lady rolled her eyes towards the corner of the room where her younger sisters were flirting with the military men of the town. Darcy smirked before returning his eyes to his beautiful wife and spinning her around the dance floor.

9. “The Best Damn Thing” by Avril Lavigne

“You’re going to learn how to be a proper girl if it is the last thing you do.” Dreamer smirked as she pushed Renee down in to the chair. Moving to sit on the table in front of Renee, she smirked and shoved several magazines underneath the new female’s nose, “Read all of these and report to my room whenever you’re finished or I will come and hunt you down.”

“Cosmopolitan…really?”  Renee was laughing but was cut off short by the death glare being given by the intimidating woman across from her.

“It’s the bible and you will respect it, do you understand me? I am not asking you to be a girly girl but I’m asking you to be the best damn thing you have ever seen – get it?”

Renee swallowed hard, “Got it.”

“Good.”

10. “Finally Woken” by Jem

Graduation day had finally arrived and here she was sitting in her chair in her green gown. Looking around, she saw the sea of her classmates and her heart lept up in to her throat. “I am so scared…”

Her best friend sitting to her right took her hand tightly and smiled, “Don’t worry. This is the first day of the rest of your life – College is going to be amazing, high school is in the past.”

Nodding, both girls smiled brightly and threw their caps in to the air as the fireworks exploded in the air.
